Multi-car Crash in South Gate Update

After a horrific multi-vehicle crash in South Gate early on Sunday morning, one person passed away and at least one other was taken to the hospital.

Just after two in the morning, a collision happened on State Street and Tweedy Boulevard.

At least four automobiles suffered significant damage, according to video taken at the scene. The road was covered in garbage and auto components.

According to police, one person was declared dead at the site, and at least another was taken to a nearby hospital. There was no immediate word on their health.

State Street was shut down for many hours while authorities examined what caused the collision and removed the debris.
