PCH and Crown Valley Accident Update
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, a cyclist died after a car accident on Wednesday, February 1 at 3 p.m. at Pacific Coast Highway and Crown Valley Parkway.
The cyclist, whose gender was confirmed by OCSD, was allegedly assaulted by the driver after the collision. Sgt. Mike Woodruff of OCSD stated. At this point, Woodruff was unable to identify the victim.
According to Woodruff, witnesses had already taken custody of the suspect when OCSD officers arrived on the scene.

According to Woodruff, the cyclist was later taken to the hospital where doctors declared him dead.
The City of Dana Point issues a warning to drivers to stay away from the area because of police activity there.
